Marble Wit is an independent creative research practice specializing in science with heart, helping practitioners and institutions reclaim their purpose and restore integrity and joy on the path to transformative breakthroughs.

Founded by a husband-and-wife team with extensive experience in arts, nonprofit and research policy, it offers the arts and science community space to reflect on purpose and practice, and forge a values-aligned path to ethical innovation. We worked hand-in-hand to develop a razor-sharp brand identity that reflects the duo’s dynamic dichotomies: rigor and whimsy, logic and wonder.

Every design choice reflects meticulous craft and strategic intent. We selected Forevs, from foundry Ohno Type, for the wordmark to anchor the typographic system in soft geometry and quiet tension. We then paired the expressive elegance of PP Pangaia with the structural precision of Pitch Sans from Klim Type, all adhereing to a strict baseline grid for flawless vertical alignment. 

The brand palette balances vibrant and grounded tones to create a luminous, cohesive look and feel that breathes across digital and print applications. We sourced richly textured, distinctive archival imagery and created a custom illustration library to infuse the system with a hand-made, scrapbook quality that captures Marble Wit’s depth of inquiry and imagination
